PHYSICIAN STRENGTH CHEMICAL PEELS

Some of the higher strength chemical peels should only be performed by a Doctor. We would recommend that higher strength physician-only peels are performed on clients who know how their skin reacts to the chemical peeling process and who have had several of the lower strength peels prior to considering this treatment. This is to ensure your safety and minimise the chance of an adverse reaction to the chemicals contained in the peel.

The chemicals are all extremely safe providing they are carefully applied by a Doctor who is very experienced in use of these products and their effect on individual skin types.

We offer Physician-only peels from the US imported PCA (Physicians Care Alliance) range of skin care products. This type of peel is deeper and a more active treatment in comparison to the aesthetician strength peels.

These peels are best for resilient skin and are designed to treat more dramatic wrinkling, sun damage or acne scarring.

PCA Ultra forte is used to treat ageing skin, acne, pigment disorders, smoker's skin and significantly sun damaged skin.This treatment is ideal for ageing skin in need of rejuvenation.

PCA Ultra Forte key ingredients:

Trichloracetic Acid (TCA) - a peeling agent commonly used to remove fine lines, wrinkles and acnes scarring.

Lactic Acid - Breaks down bonds between cells to allow for easier exfoliation of dead surface skin cells while hydratinfg the skin.

Kojic Acid - Evens skin tone and controls bacteria production in the skin.

Azelaic Acid - Brightens uneven complexions. It also has antibacterial and antimicrobial action, exfoliating and disinfecting properties and helps normalise keratinisation in the skin.

Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) - A powerful anti-oxidant that acts as a co-factor for an enzyme crucial in collagen synthesis. It provides protection from sun damage caused by UV radiation,. improves skin elasticity and decreases wrinkling by stimulating collagen synthesis. It reduces redness and reduces inflammation in the skin.
